Scholarship
The Virginia Tech Alumni Association – Roanoke Chapter awards scholarships to high school students entering Virginia Tech. Each year we accept applications and pour over essays from accepted students in Roanoke city, Roanoke County, Salem, and Botetourt County.
Most of the scholarships awarded have come from event proceeds, scholarship fundraisers, corporate and individual donations. THANK YOU for all you do! Your efforts truly are making a difference!

FAQs
When is the application available?
The online scholarship application is shared with local high schools in early March. The application is due May 1st.
Who is allowed to apply?
Any current high school senior living in Botetourt County, Salem, Roanoke County, or Roanoke City who has been accepted to Virginia Tech.
How are recipients chosen?
We take into account both GPA and activities with your school and community to choose a well-rounded individual for the awards. Applications are reviewed by the scholarship committee and interviews are scheduled with selected applicants.
