Starts at 5:30 p.m. at Montano's (Kickoff is at 6 p.m.)

21st Annual Golf Tournament

On Friday, Aug. 7, the Roanoke Valley Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association will host its 21st annual Scholarship Golf Tournament at Hanging Rock Golf Club in Salem. Va. The proceeds will benefit the chapter's scholarship fund.

Join us for a great day of golf, family fun and a cookout! Reconnect with fellow Hokie alums and listen to our featured dinner speaker, Virginia Tech hall of fame tight end and broadcast color analyst Mike Burnop.

The Roanoke Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association cordially invites all alumni, family and friends to join us for a very important presentation about infection diseases such as Swine Flu. This presentation is free.

Professor of Bacteriology with the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Pathobiology at Virginia Tech

Topic:
"Infectious Diseases including the Swine and Avian Influenzas" Presentation with Q & A session

Dr. Inzana's Bio:
Dr. Inzana is a diplomat of The American Board of Medical Microbiology and a Fellow of The American Academy for Microbiology. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Inzana's research interests focus on the molecular basis of bacterial capsules and lipopolysaccharides (LPS) in virulence and pathogenesis, and the host response to bacterial pathogens.
